I cancelled my subscription — why am I still being charged?
All FNSHD subscriptions are billed and managed by the Apple App Store. Nereus Data does not charge your card directly and cannot issue refunds.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Find FNSHD and confirm it shows as Cancelled with an expiration date. If it shows as active, tap Cancel Subscription.
If you cancelled but Apple still charged you, the renewal likely happened before the cancellation took effect (Apple requires at least 24 hours' notice before the renewal date). For refund requests, use Apple's Report a Problem page — Apple handles all FNSHD refunds.
If Apple's records and your records disagree, email us with your Apple ID email and approximate purchase date and we'll help investigate.
How do I delete my data?
FNSHD stores almost all of your data locally on your device. To delete everything:
- Open FNSHD and go to Settings → Delete Account & Data.
- Confirm the deletion. This wipes local journal entries, check-ins, lesson progress, and your server-side device record (used only for AI coach rate limiting).
- Optionally, delete the app from your iPhone to remove the app sandbox entirely.
Uninstalling the app alone removes the local data but does not delete the small server-side rate-limit record. Use the in-app delete option (or email us) to purge the server record as well.
Why does FNSHD need Family Controls?
FNSHD uses Apple's Family Controls (Screen Time) framework to power the in-app blocker. This is the only API Apple provides for an app to restrict access to other apps and websites on your device.
- FNSHD never sees which apps you use or how often — Apple keeps that data private to iOS.
- The Family Controls permission only allows FNSHD to ask iOS to block the categories and sites you have chosen.
- You can revoke the permission at any time in Settings → Screen Time. The blocker will stop working, but the rest of the app (coach, journal, lessons) will continue to function.
Why does FNSHD need Network Extension permissions?
The optional network filter uses Apple's Network Extension framework to filter DNS queries on-device so explicit sites can be blocked across all browsers and apps — not just inside one browser.
- The filter runs locally. FNSHD does not route your traffic through any Nereus Data server.
- We do not log, store, or analyze the sites you visit.
- You can disable the filter at any time from within FNSHD, or by removing the VPN configuration in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
- Open FNSHD and go to Settings → Subscription.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
- Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase if prompted.
If restoration does not bring back your subscription, double-check that the active subscription appears under Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. If it does and the app still does not unlock, email us at [email protected].
